Escalante River Canyoneering & Packrafting [Video]

Join us on an 11 day adventure on the Escalante River area of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in southern Utah. We explore the Egypt 3 slot canyon, one of the most dramatic and narrow in the area. We also check out Neon Canyon and its spectacular Golden Cathedral.

Then, after shuttling our cars 50 miles to end of the Hole-in-the-Rock road, we start our packrafting float down the Escalante River, all the way to Lake Powell. Along the way, we stop to explore the deep, dark and narrow Ringtail slot canyon and scramble up steep exposed slopes to access slick rock in the high country (see "big horn trail" and "Yurt Dome" in Steve Allen's book "Canyoneering 3", map 29).
