Cover Photo: The Best in Tent Camping - Washington

This photo of my wife, Sheila, backpacking in Washington State's North Cascade mountains is being used on the cover of The Best in Tent Camping:  Washington (2nd ed.), by Menasha Ridge Press.

I made this photo in the early morning as we camped above 14 Goat Lake, on the north side of Mount Baker, along the spectacular Ptarmigan Ridge Trail.  This trail, in Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest's Mt. Baker Wilderness, is one of my favorite autumn backpacks in Washington State.  I've included a set of additional images from this trip below.
