The Pacific Northwest’s coastline is highly dynamic in nature, ranging from wide sandy beaches to rugged cliffs and rocky sea stacks. Happily, a fair portion of it is protected by wilderness designation, National Park, National Wildlife Refuge, National Seashore, State Park, National Recreation Area and Scenic Corridor. And public access to the entire 363-mile long Oregon Coast is protected by the Oregon Beach Bill of 1967!
