Hi all,

I recently had the pleasure to write an article for the online nature photography magazine Nature TTL (TTL = “through the lens”) on how to photograph birds in your own backyard. Check it out here.

In the article, I introduce how to select a bird photography site in your own backyard, along with how to set up a perch, feeder, photography blind and background for capturing stunning images of your little feathered neighborhood friends.

The article also covers camera settings, preparing for the day of the shoot and a few basic tips for post-processing your bird photos afterwards.

If you are interested in trying out backyard bird photography, check out the article for tips that will get you started on the right foot.
